Summary
PubMedとは米国国立医学図書館(NLM)が作成する、MEDLINE(メドライン)を含む医学分野の代表的な文献情報データベースです。 このMEDLINE では世界中の5,200 誌以上の雑誌に掲載された文献情報を検索できます。 しかし、全て英語ですので、日本人にはやや敷居が高いのも事実です。 PubMedX は、PubMed のページ内の文献タイトルおよび抄録部分を英日翻訳して、ページ内に表示するブラウザ拡張機能です。 ページ全体を翻訳するのとは異なり、英語の情報が保たれているため内容の把握が容易となります。 日本語を読む方が英語を読むよりも早い大部分の日本人において、日常的な文献検索にかかる時間とストレスは大幅に軽減されるでしょう。 おまけ機能として、Impact Factor の色分け表示ができますので、より重要な文献に注目しやすくなっています。 また、文献管理システムである Mendeley とも連携しており、PubMed で読んだ論文を1クリックで Medley に送ったり、Medley Refernce Manager 内での文献タイトルや抄録の翻訳表示にも対応しています。
