What is Sputnik?

"Sputnik" is a Firefox extension designed to help users easily search for IPs, Domains, File Hashes, and URLs using Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) resources. Right click on selected text or links and choose an OSINT tool to get the results. Artifacts are copied directly to the clipboard. However, this add-on is not supported on Firefox for Android.

Usage

• Text - Select the artifact you wish to search and right click • Links - Right click on links, audio, images, videos • Select an OSINT tool • You will be directed to results or the submission page for the artifact • Selected artifacts are written to the clipboard

Note: Mozilla's contextMenu API does not support this extension for Firefox Android.

Sputnik is relatively safe to use as it requires very minimum permissions.
