Requirements

  • "Open links in tabs instead of new windows" needs to be activated in the FF options

How does it work? The initial idea behind Tab Freezer is to prevent unwanted popups and tabs from clicks on invisible overlays. Activate Tab Freezer for a tab by clicking the Tab Freezer icon on the right of the navigation bar. Click again to deactivate. When active, all new tabs from the URL of this tab, created by you on purpose or not, will be closed automatically.

The Tab Freezer button does not work globally. Tab Freezer blocks by domain. For example: if you are on "www.mozilla.org" and activate Tab Freezer on this tab, all current and future browser tabs and widows with "www.mozilla.org" will be blocking new popups and tabs. URL "addons.mozilla.org" will not be frozen, a different subdomain makes it a different domain for Tab Freezer .

Tab Freezer will remember you blocked domains between session.

Hello Lynk. Infinite thanks to the creator of this add-on, you can not imagine the hours I've been looking for something to block the annoying popup and tabs that open with viruses. The problem with ad blockers is that sometimes it does not allow to navigate well. It is strange that this add-on has more than 3 years, and few revisions. Don't stop updating it, although I have a feeling that unfortunately the creator abandoned this excellent add-on. One thing that does not work is the keyboard shortcut.

el mejor bloqueador de popups que he probado, lo recomiendo mucho lo bueno de este addon, es que no bloquea todo por defecto como todos los demás bloqueadores de popups, uno mismo lo va activando en la pagina que lo necesite, para mi eso es buenísimo porque en otros addons de este estilo tenia que crear listas blancas interminables porque siempre bloqueaban todo y yo solo necesito bloquear solo una cierta cantidad de paginas con popups otra cosa buena de este addon, es que deja que se habrá el popup, pero lo cierra súper rápido, así evita que algunas paginas se bloqueen, porque hay muchas paginas que al no dejar que se habrá el popup, bloquean los botones que uno necesita usar de la misma
