2023-09-25 | Firefox user 18068890 | I find it highly amusing that this addon that hasn't been updated for roughly 6 years works better than any newer addon I've tried to use.

2019-06-07 | Firefox user 13978280 | This aswell as another addon did not mute flash videos by default. I need to remute the page manually for the tab to be totaly muted

2018-05-05 | zososfo | So far so quiet. Thank you!! It's not clear to me why anyone would _want_ audio ads, etc. upon opening a tab (unless it was a music site, or something like that). Anyway, AutoMute seems to work perfectly with the latest version of Firefox. Where do I send $$?

2018-02-23 | Firefox user 13730581 | I use this addon with chrome and love it. I am trying to switch to firefox and am glad to see this addon here. I have an issue that may not seem extreme but I just want to throw it out there. I have the setting in about:config titled browser.tabs.showAudioPlayingIco disabled so I don't accidentally click the speaker icon and unmute a tab. I sometimes have a bunch of tabs open and would possibly hit the unmute button and be jolted with sound. Would it be possible for the additional option to disable the addon from adding the speaker/mute icon. I tested with and without the addon enabled, on regular tabs the icon shows itself when automute is enabled and disappears when it is disabled.
2018-02-14 | Firefox user 13785629 | I like this addon more than the alternatives because of several reasons: 1. You can Mute and unmute a specific tab 2. You can mute every tab at once 3. You can Whitelist pages I also used the chrome version(before i switched to firefox quantum) and i loved it there as well, the addon is really simple to use
2017-12-17 | Firefox user 12553415 | Works just as I wanted it to do. Whitelisting works pretty good and helps me prevent those crazy autoplaying videos from playing audio.
