Auto Tab Reaper is a Firefox add-on that automatically discards or suspends tabs after a short amount of time, helping to preserve system resources. It skips pinned and audible tabs by default, but this can be customized. The default delay is 30 minutes, but it can be changed to 1, 5, or 10 minutes.

Add-on summary
This extension automatically discards tabs using the built in Firefox discard functionality. It will by default skip all pinned tabs and all audible tabs, however you can change this in the addon preferences. You can also change from the default 30 minute delay to 1, 5 and 10 minute delays before suspending tabs.

Great little addon. I work with 20 plus tabs open which chews up memory but this extension reduces that enormously. Only suggestion would be some sort of option to dim the tab/icon/whatever to show which tabs are suspended. This would make this a 5/5 addon. Thanks

Please, add an option to shut down automatically suspending tabs and activate manually by pressing the button. I need only manual.
