Bigger URL bar with multiple lines by @h43z. Press CTRL+Shift+L to open URL bar, hitting ESC or making it loose focus will hide it again. Extension code only injects itself when needed.
What is Bigger URL bar?
"Bigger URL Bar" is a Firefox add-on that enhances the browsing experience by enlarging the URL bar and enabling multiple lines for increased convenience. Pressing CTRL+Shift+L opens the URL bar, and it automatically hides on losing focus.

I have so many extensions shortcuts on my toolbar that it was making the URL bar too short and therefore was impossible to read long strings URL. Now, it's something of the past.
It would be great if users could choose their own shortcut keys to launch it.

My Firefox address bar is very cramped because I have a lot of extension, within the url bar, as well on the toolbar itself. This add-on is a big help. I do wish the developer would allow us to customize the hot keys for launching the pop-up bar. I would rather assign my own keys than using the Ctrl+Shft+L.
