Summary
Analyze your spending of UC San Diego HDH Dining Dollars and Triton Cash with BudgetBuddy.
To get started, navigate to the eAccounts Account Transactions page.
Once logged in and the Account Transaction Report form is visible, there will be a separate section underneath the form titled BudgetBuddy. Click on the start button to initiate the data collection process.
Dependent on the amount of transactions, the collection time may vary from several seconds to minutes. Once the process is finished, click Launch Analyzer to open the BudgetBuddy Analyzer.
On the Analyzer, users can view, sort, and filter through their transactions. For those looking to export their transaction data, JSON data collected by BudgetBuddy can be downloaded from the information modal window in the Analyzer.
To update transaction data, navigate to the Analyzer by clicking on the extension's icon in the browser toolbar. Once on the Analyzer page, click Update Data, which will navigate to the eAccounts Account Transactions page. From there, click Start to begin the data update.
As transaction data is sensitive, personal information, privacy and security are core to BudgetBuddy's internal design.
BudgetBuddy only has permission to view and manipulate the eAccounts Account Transactions page and permission to store settings and transaction data locally in the browser. The extension operates locally and no user data, including analytics data, is ever sent from the extension.
