2024-12-18 | mjb | Not really recommended. ai fan While this is a good extension, if you're trying to keep things clean, GPT integration isn't ideal. It should not interact directly with your personal account. Instead, it should operate in private mode or within a contained system, separate from your main account. Alternatively, there could be a dedicated conversation section, such as "GPT Search," where all searches and interactions are stored within that conversation exclusively. Without such features, it becomes messy and disorganized. While it has potential, this tool still needs significant improvement.
2024-11-13 | Ke0zom | It works, but it's not for me, I'm going to uninstall to go back to Google, I'm still attached to my search results. If in the future OpenAI releases a Google-style interface with a ChatGPT part, then I'll adopt SearchGPT more easily. Thanks to the author for creating this extension anyway.

2024-11-08 | Douglas G | Went to say something about not working on android ... and... Don't know what is going on with posting about other extensions on his site... weird (like talk about your own extension.) ... anyway This DOES NOT WORK ON ANDROID. I have screenshots for proof if you want (just installs and nothing)... which itself seems extremely suspicious (since you seems to be worried about it) I would not use this extension on android.
2024-11-07 | Scott B | does not go to website when I place search in toolbar and hit enter ... do I have click the pull down? If you want it to auto go to chatGPT use ChatGPT Search For FF That works as expected!

2024-11-06 | uha8 | Works great and doesn't require any permissions! Be warned that there's a similar plugin called "ChatGPT Search For FF", which requires permission to data from chatgpt.com. Which i find odd, since it does the same as this one, which doesn't require any permissions. Not sure if it's malicious (the other one), but it surely is suspicious. I see some users have given this one bad ratings, saying it doesn't work, which is not something i've encountered. Maybe you haven't set it as default search engine in the firefox settings? Tip: if you want, you can keep your default search engine, but access this one by writing a symbol of your choice (eg "c"), followed by a space, in the address field. Very quick and easy. Go to firefox settings > Search > Scroll down to "Search Shortcuts", where "ChatGPT" appears after installing this > Double click the "keyword" (saying "chatgpt.com" as default) in the second column. Then type a symbol (or word, if you like) and press enter. |
