Discard Tab

This add-on allows discarding (freezing) tabs via right-click. Discarding, or freezing, tabs removes them from memory and stops all background activity. The tab will continue to exist and everything will reload, if you click it.

Install XPI file

  1. Simply drag-and-drop the XPI into Firefox to install the add-on.

Install ZIP file

  1. Download the Discard Tab ZIP file
  2. In Firefox browser, go to about:addons to open Add-ons Manager
  3. Click on , then select Install Add-on From File
  4. Select the Discard Tab ZIP file from step 1. Discard Tab is now installed on your browser.
