This extension like FlashGot or VideoDownload Helper add-ons, monitor your network activities and detect media and image sources. When the toolbar button is pressed, all the available media (video and audio) sources are listed. You can select the ones you want to download and start downloading them either using the built-in download manager or using an external download manager like Internet Download Manager (IDM) or GNU Wget.

This extension also can track image resources as well. If you need this option, right-click on the toolbar button and press the "Track image resources" checkbox.

You can also interrupt the built-in downloader and send downloading jobs to an external download manager or even just copy the download links to the clipboard.
