Exclude Topics from Google News

This extension allow you to block / filter topics from google news from a list of keyword. All topics containing one of keywords will be hidden. Can be used for children protection. (eg list : "war, death, drug, sex...")

I wanted to block celeb names, after i done it, i checked if its working, and it just hides basic news that has nothing to do with my tags For example it bans the weather report, LOL! I scrolled down like 3 sections and there was the same ****y celeb news i wanted to ban, with the same exact names that i put in the tag options.

2020-05-13	hardheartedharbinger		Tried signing out of google account several times, I still see things about Jenner, Kardashian, and Musk.
2020-04-17	Firefox user 12644750		My biggest frustration is that for this to work you have to log out of your Google Account and log back in for it to update. I don't understand why it needs to do this to work. When you do the log out and back in it works.

2020-01-13	DJVance		You have to go to Extensions and edit the preferences for this -- it does NOT show up in your browser. But it works! I was able to block all Sports news! YES! Sports suck!

But anyway I found that if you use certain websites that cater to specific types of stories, it will catch more items unambiguously (ex: "sports" might block "e-Sports", but "espn" or "yahoo sports" would block the more traditional kinds). You can also block "more sports" for the section header.
