2022-10-01 mgkrupa Great time saving add-on. There is a lot of room for improvement (at least in the Firefox version - the Chrome version is called "Quick Find") but despite its flaws, I still gave it 5/5 stars because it saves me a huge amount of time when the text I'm searching for has a HUGE number of irrelevant matches/search results. This is because the scrollable list it displays (in the "fire find menu") shows the context (i.e. surrounding words) of each individual match. Showing this context often lets you QUICKLY determine that a particular match is irrelevant (you can usually tell immediately from just a few surrounding worlds if a result isn't what you're looking for) so you end up wasting much less of your time inspecting irrelevant matches. When there's a lot of irrelevant matches on a page then this adds up to save you a lot of time. There are no add-on options available (at least not in 2022) so nothing is customizable. You can't change the dimensions of the fire find menu and you can't change the hotkeys. And the hotkeys DO NOT work in the Firefox version. So the shortcut "Ctrl + Shift + O" to open fire find menu (1) Does not work, and (2) Cannot be changed. It's annoying (at least to me) that this particularly useful shortcut doesn't work. You instead have to click the icon to open the fire find menu. Despite this annoyance, other than that, this is still very useful add-on and it works well. I recommend it.

2021-01-25 OM_RA It is quite useful. But it would be nice if the results were not superimposed on the web page, but displayed in a popup inside the add-on itself. Sometimes it also detects fewer results than the normal Firefox search engine.

2020-09-02 LostPacket Thanks Francesco, great idea, but I have a bit of a problem. FF 80.0.1 x64 / Win7/SP1. Fire Find 1.0 seems to often find only a subset of matches. For example, on the example<dot>com site, a search for 'domain' finds only 2 out of 3, and a search for just the letter 'n' or 'm' produces only a few hits. Same thing happens on many pages (yet some searches produce an expected/correct number of hits).
