2024-08-24 xcv ss s rwe w w Badly needs an option to turn off for youtube. This page is already safe for work normally. When limited mode is forced on, as it is by this app, extreme amounts of videos are marked as not safe for work and will not display. It's good for the other sites except for yandex of the ones i have tested
2023-11-07 Mat This is an excellent idea! The only problem is that is does not support the Brave search engine which is what I use.😔

2020-11-14 Tanner Having the same issue with this extension that I have with the Porn/Malware blocker extension: it does nothing. When you first search in Google, it turns on SafeSearch automatically - however, you see a popup notification from Google that says "SafeSearch is turned on. Explicit results willbe filtered." and next to this notification is an option to disable SafeSearch, which works. So even though Google now defaults to SafeSearch, it can be disabled without even opening add ons manager. Update: I should clarify, this problem is only relevant for image search. It appears that for website and video searches its not possible to disable SafeSearch from within Google, however when you go to the image search results, the option is presented to you. Nonetheless, much like other have commented, you can still disable the plugin through addons manager anyway, so it really amounts to no protection at all.

2017-12-31 Firefox user 13648862 I've been using this a few days. So far it seems like a very good browser add-on overall, it does what it says it will do. I have a few suggestions to improve it: 1.) It says: "users cannot override the safe search settings enforced by this plug-in." but that's not quite true. It should be password protected so it is not easy for anyone to go into Add-ons Manager and simply click "Disable" to disable the Force Safe Search . For example, a typical reason someone might use this is to configure their child's computer to force the Safe Search mode ... if it's disabled with a single click in the Add-Ons Manager , even a child can figure that out easily. 2.) Allow some exceptions that the user can set up in a preference panel. For example : on YouTube , if I click on a video that has been flagged as "Restricted" it tells me I can't view it unless I sign in with my Google Acct. and turn off "Restricted Mode" ... but if I do that it still won't let me see the video . (it overrides my turning off Restricted Mode ) . And what I'm talking about is not really 'questionable' content , the clip I first noticed this behavior on was a clip from the Coen Brother's film 'Inside Llewyn Davis ' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Aq4a7g_wdU . No idea why someone has flagged this harmless clip as "Restricted" . But it wasn't even the result of a search , it was just a clip that a friend posted on YouTube , I clicked on it to watch, couldn't watch it until I disabled "Force Safe Search " . So I think it could use some tweaking in terms of what it is blacklisting automatically.
2017-12-31 Firefox user 12966318 Needs a password feature to prevent disabling; Then it would be perfect.
2017-12-12 Firefox user 12607168 Genau so wie auch der Porn/Malware Blocker vom selben Mann. Tut was es soll, keine Frage. Daumen hoch!
