This addon was made to as an alternative to get-alexa-info one, since the website stats from alexa.com dont seem to get updates anymore.

Usage:

  1. visit a website
  2. Global Rank is displayed on the toolbar badge
  3. for more details click on the toolbar button or open the sidebar
Notes:
  1. Permissions:
    • activeTab, to process the toolbar icon/button click
    • https://www.similarweb.com/website/*, to load the similarsite website stats
    • webRequest(Blocking), to modify some headers
    • webNavigation, to update the sidebar and the badge rank on information on navigation
    This add-on tries to use the minimal number of required permissions to successfully fullfill its intended purpose.
