Add-on summary
Display the site icons on the Google search result page.
This add-on sends the hostnames of the link URLs in the Google search results page to https://www.google.com/s2/favicons
or https://www.google.cn/s2/favicons
(if you are in China) to get the icon data for those sites. This may tell Google about the sites you search for and display on Google Search. Since it only sends the URLs included in the Google search results to a Google's site (www.google.com/s2/favicons), it is known information for Google, and it is clear that there is no privacy problem, but at the direction of a Mozilla reviewer, this is described in the description section and in the privacy policy.
This feature relies on Google Search's HTML format. It may not work if the HTML format changes. This add-on only works with the HTML at the time it was created and is not guaranteed to work in the future. So if you recently installed this add-on and it doesn't work or suddenly stops working, don't complain about it. This kind of review by people who don't understand how it works is really annoying.
I invite you to explore and help me translate this add-on in Crowdin.
