Add-on summary
Do you ever start watching one YouTube video and spend hours falling down the recommendations rabbit hole? Or open Gmail to write an email and end up reading all the new mail you received instead?
That's because modern websites are designed to suck you in and keep you engaged by constantly providing new content. Hide Feed prevents that by replacing feeds with beautiful images so that you can avoid distractions and stay focused.
When you're finally ready to browse new posts, read new email, or watch recommended videos, you can show the feed with one click. With Hide Feed, you get to choose.

User reviews
I was using LeechBlock to keep me on the right path when I should be working: it blocks sites you tell it, during the part of the day that you tell it; still great, for distracting sites.
But for YouTube, a total block can get in the way of some work-related videos; whereas this extension will allow for search. Just removes the ability to see suggested videos, which tempt you to drift away with them. Very good!
