Summary

This extension provides a better interface for searching the browser history and addresses the limitations of the default history viewer. It lets you search by title or URL and optionally specify the visit count or set a date range. You can set as many search terms as you want for more precise filtering. You can also specify terms to exclude from search results.

It searches for whole phrases, unlike the default history viewer, which splits your query into separate terms and searches for them individually. For example, if you search for "star wars," History Helper looks for pages containing the phrase "star wars," but the default history viewer finds pages containing either "star" or "wars" and ends up with a great deal of irrelevant results. Additionally, History Helper lets you specify whether you want to search in the page title or URL, whereas the default history viewer always searches in both.
