What is Image Forward?
Image Forward is a Firefox add-on that allows you to easily navigate and cycle through images and image links on a web page. Inspired by Opera 12's Fast Forward feature, Image Forward provides intuitive keyboard shortcuts to quickly load and view images without having to go back and forth between pages. The add-on also allows you to configure options for loading specific types of images or pages. Image Forward

A webextension to easily go through images embedded on or linked from a web page.

Example

If you are on page_one that contains 3 images, you can press Ctrl-Shift-Space to load image_one as if you had right clicked it and chosen View Image. Press again and image_two is loaded (without having to go back to page_one and click on it), again and image_three is loaded. One more press will bring you back two page_one. At any time you could have pressed Ctrl-Shift-B to go straight back to page_one. Images are only loaded if they are bigger than what's configured in the add-on's options,

Works o.k. - actually the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+B will not work on Firefox / OSX so you cannot break and get back to page one...

Simple and effective addon, with its companion "Enhanced Image Viewer" by the same developer constitutes an almost perfect mode to have slide show with series of pictures opened in fullscreen mode and background of preferred color. Thanks Firefox Quantum 57.0.1

It does exactly that I was hoping it would do. Show a picture without the surrounding page and/or do the same with a number of picture links on that same page.
