What is MediaExtractor?

MediaExtractor is a Firefox add-on that allows you to visit websites with embedded video players and extract the underlying video URL to the clipboard. You can then use the extracted URL in a standalone media player or to download the resource directly. Please note that MediaExtractor currently does not work with YouTube.

Typical case would be to visit a website with embedded video player and pressing play to extract the underlying video url to the clipboard. The extracted url can then be used in a stand alone media player or to download the resource directly.

NOTE: is currently not working with youtube.
