Add-on summary
A personal recommendation feed built in your browser. With myAlgorithm, you get daily content from Youtube/Twitter/Reddit/Quora/and more based on your daily browsing habits.
I built myAlgorithm because I wanted to escape Google's algorithm. I was tired of endlessly scrolling through content feeds and feeling like I had no control. Where is this data coming from? What do they know about me? I can tell Youtube knew I searched x and y but now I'm getting all of these political videos I have no interest in. At first I thought the only solution was to never go online...but then I realized I do enjoy these feeds, I just want to make them better. This is why I made myAlgorithm.
Everyday you get a new feed (able to refresh at will) of content from sites like Youtube/Quora/Reddit/Twitter/StackOverflow and more. You can view and edit your algorithm and the topics that you engage with often and are used to generate your feed.
As for privacy and security, the only server interactions made in the app are requests to fetch the content. Otherwise, all of the data (tracking data and settings) is stored locally in your browser to avoid any privacy concerns.
