2024-06-12 | Fredrik | Convenient and useful. After you close the split window, it auto maximises the main one, which is very useful. Though there is no shortcut, only right click -> open as NiftySplit window And if you use for example a tab manager, that will open in the new window.
2023-01-06 | Thomas Leon Highbaugh | Note this 'splits' the window by opening another window and does not bisect the space within the open window. Why would I care about that? 1. I modify my browser's interface so there are toolbars around the sides of the window creating space that having a second window open means the content is more crowded. 2. I use a tiling window manager, which bisects the screen already while positioning windows for me that means a lot less fidgeting with window position. When combined with this, it just gets overridden anyway by the window manager (if you don't use Linux, this will seriously never matter for you I know... except windows does provide auto-snapping already so why use a web extension for this?) Not the dev's fault and the port is good so extra star for writing a firefox manifesat.json and dealing with that. If you want to port dualless that would be awesome ;] Another star for doing what it says, minus 2 for this not being so useful.
