Nitter Redirect

Nitter Redirect

Redirects Twitter requests to Nitter, the privacy friendly alternative.

What is Nitter Redirect?
"Nitter Redirect" is a privacy-enhancing Firefox add-on. It intercepts and redirects requests headed to various Twitter domains, and instead, sends them to the privacy-friendly alternative, Nitter. No unnecessary permissions are required. Users have the control to toggle redirects on/off and set custom Nitter instances. Its latest feature now correctly redirects Twitter URLs including '/tweets'.

Useful after LibRedirect removed Nitter as a supported frontend
by Gersonzao, 2024-04-19

The add-on once worked fine, but now every attempted connection to nitter.net results in this: "Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue. Firefox detected an issue and did not continue to nitter.net. The web site is either misconfigured or your computer clock is set to the wrong time. It’s likely the web site’s certificate is expired, which prevents Firefox from connecting securely." The solution (apart from fixing nitter.net) would be to offer several OTHER pathways to Nitter. TRhere are plenty of others.
