The access to browser tabs and your data for all websites seems excessive. However, it does work a little faster than Spotify Desktop-ify or Spotify URL Parser.
This extension and the other mentioned extensions only started working after I reinstalled Spotify through the Windows Store.

No reason for this, if it only needs to look at open.spotify.com. Use the other addon that doesn't do this.
