2021-10-13 Firefox user 14475365 Doesn't connect, error message is vague and unhelpful, I was able to connect with a different plugin without any issues. While there is a "URL" field the instructions seem to indicate putting an IP address in there instead. An IP address is not an URL. What would help me troubleshoot this is if the plugin could tell me at least SOME of the following: 1. Was the "URL" field valid? (expecting an actual URL or an IP address? or just a host name?) 2. Did the host name resolve to an IP? 3. Was the host reachable? 4. Was the host reachable but the port closed? 5. Was authentication required? 6. Was the version of Kodi on the remote host supported? I had to resort to Wireshark to diagnose the root cause, which is like disassembling the engine of a car to discover it was out of gas. The issue was #5, authentication was wrong. Although I managed to get it to connect I couldn't figure-out how to send videos to Kodi, there was no option in the context menu and no reason given for the lack of one.
