It´s missing a lot of simple features, remember last position, open new tab in background, staying open when clicking a link, etc.

I believe such an extension should handle any bookmark handled by Firefox' Bookmarks : Popup Bookmarks does NOT handle abouts bookmarks (about:config, about:addons etc...).
