You need to do a right click > Copy Image, then AGAIN a right click to launch that extension then a Ctrl+V to put an image from the clipboard from the browser, to paste it in the popup .. |

I just drag and drop a png file i created with a QR code, it reads it and displays it or executes the code in it. Easy as pie! No crazy adds or malicious things. My hat is off to the creator and I would recommend it to anyone! |

If you want to scan from a webcam or a local file, you click the extension's toolbar button. If you want to scan an image from the web, you right click the image and hit "Open with QR Code Reader". |

It is not the extension's fault that you expect it something else to do. You can read QR-Codes using a camera, what is very useful e.g. if you started working on something on your mobile and want to continue on the desktop. |
