A lightweight addon that adds a Toggle button in URL bar, for toggling JavaScript (on or off) individually per domain, and stores that for future visit. Works also with Firefox 57+.

'JavaScript Switcher' is a lightweight Firefox extension. With a simple button in the URL bar, it enables users to control JavaScript settings individually for each domain. Your preferences are saved for future visits. Originally known as Quick JS Switcher, this add-on has adapted JavaScript Control and changed the default policy to enable JavaScript by default, based on user feedback.

Summary

Earlier Known as Quick JS Switcher. Adds A Switch button in URL bar, for switching JavaScript individually per domain and stores that for future.

By default JavaScript is enabled on pages due to so many people wanting that.

I have forked code of extension JavaScript Control and made changes to default policy, to enable JavaScript by default, due to popular requests.

  • Due to current limitations on Firefox on Android (no support for pageAction.setIcon yet), the URL Bar icon doesn't change or show up as expected. JavaScript is however blocked as expected by default, and enabled with a click *
