Would you prefer not to have your number of YouTube™ notifications on every YouTube™ tab?
Do all of your YouTube™ tabs look the same when you have many tabs open?
Don't want the number included in your bookmarks or saved links?
Is it information that you don't need to be reminded about?
If so, this simple Firefox add-on will dynamically remove the number (and the parentheses) from any new YouTube™ tabs that you open after installing it.
I'm finding it useful while there (currently) isn't an official setting to turn this number off. I've uploaded it here in case anyone else was also looking for the "off switch". Hope it helps.

For years it has bothered me that every time I bookmark a YouTube video it ends up having "(17) <title>" in the bookmark name. I always found this irritating and wished that YouTube had a way to disable it in settings but they do not. I just found this addon and tried it out and it works great, however keep in mind it only works for YouTube pages that open up after the addon is installed, it does not retroactively remove the number from existing opened pages. Viewing your notifications to clear them, and then doing a "reload all" on any open YouTube tabs will clear all the numbers for starters, then this addon will keep them clean after that!
