Add-on summary

REQUIREMENTS AUTHORING Tool – RAT assists you when writing requirements or other documents and improves the overall quality of the project.

The Requirements Authoring Tool (RAT) allows you to verify, in real-time, the quality of your requirements by applying the advice of several international guides and standards such as the INCOSE Guide to Writing Requirements, ISO 29148, BABoK, other rules like those defined by NASA, ESA, and other well-known organisms. Measures for Correctness, Consistency, and Completeness are provided as explicit results.

RAT uses a customizable set of textual patterns. You can choose a particular pattern from our preset libraries of patterns, e.g., INCOSE Guide to Writing Requirements, or create new patterns according to your needs. Once a pattern has been selected, the right terms are suggested from a controlled vocabulary while typing, ensuring the right syntax and that the proper information is provided.

RAT can be used on top of any Web-based RMS or inside the most common tools in the market (IBM DOORS, PTC Windchill, etc.).
