2022-11-06 Chad Cloman I wanted to use this extension, but they make it difficult. First and foremost, the settings and setup interface is terrible. It took me several minutes to figure out (1) that I needed to do additional setup, and (2) where to find the setup instructions. Which brings me to issue #2: in order for this extension to work, you must download and install a separate app. The Firefox extension system has built-in protections and limitations. The phrase "install external app", which circumvents these protections, immediately raises red flags for me. I find it concerning from a security point of view. I understand that prior changes to the Firefox add-on system make it difficult (if not impossible) to implement a restart feature without some sort of external assistance. And the author found a viable workaround. But I've been trained to not install untrusted software, and I just can't ignore that. For that reason I've uninstalled this add-on and will not be using it.

2022-02-14 exCorbac Hello zupffwhy. Thank you so much for a restart button extension that really works, that is proper closing of the browser then re-opening. I didn't test all of its features yet since I mainly needed only a restart button. However, instead of laughing at PEBCAK people ("Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard") in "About this extension", you should indicate that links to the necessary "native application program" (according to used OS) are given in the Documents. Links for Documents can be found on the top of the extension's settings page, in few languages. Even so, I presume some severe cases of PEBCAK people won't be able to deal with it ;) (Would you please make it possible to hide or remove the two last default actions (hibernate and hybrid-sleep)? Some people (like me) have these power management features disabled. Just a matter of settings cosmetics really.)
