What is Right Links WE?
"Right Links WE" is a Firefox add-on that significantly improves user navigation. It accomplishes this by allowing links to be opened with a simple right-click or a 'long' left-click. This extension is ideal for those using touchpads on their notebooks or mice without a middle button. It also provides useful features like loading JavaScript-links in the current tab, offering control over the timeout before context menus appear, and even introducing hotkeys for easy preferences customization. Also, there are additional options in the about:config page such as allowing the disabling or enabling of features like opening links in new windows instead of new tabs.

I've been using this for years in Windows and I'm very happy with the long left-click especially and making it change to the new tab immediately. Since I changed to Linux (Mint Cinnamon) I notice a strange behaviour. When I return to the page I left the whole page background is "glued to the mouse pointer" and moves with it until I make a single click and normality is returned. It's a small thing but a bit annoying.
