One Time Setup (Linux)

  1. Install the Add-On
  2. Download " (rodc.json)" and " (run.py)" and save both to "$HOME/.mozilla/native-messaging-hosts/"
  3. Update the "path" attribute in the "run-on-download-complete.json" with the absolute path (no variables!!!) to where you put the "run.py" script
Usage:
  1. Just download any file with the firefox build-in download mechanism (for Example via the right click menu's > "Save As ..." entry

After I figured out, which files to install in "~/.mozilla/native-messaging-host/" the add-on works like expected. The "One Time Setup (Linux)" section in the "about this extension" text is wrong in the names and download links. It has to be "rods.json" and "rods.py" / "rods.sh" / "rods.js" which are all found in "https://github.com/igorlogius/rodc"
