Add-on summary
** Note about permissions. Currently there is no way to separate read and write access from each other. The addon requires "write" access to every web page in order to hook into the mouse scrolling, so it can detect the side ways swipe. This however means for the time being that the addon needs also read access, but the addon does not read anything on the web page. Source code is freely available from the link in the description. As soon as I can I will reduce permissions as small sub set as possible, hopefully to none **
This add-on brings OS X like two-finger gesture navigation to other platforms.
While there exists other solutions for this problem they require intrusive permissions and are maintained (or not at all) by people who have no contact information available neither here or in their repositories.
This add-on requires no permissions. It is here to only solve a problem and not spy on you. You can check out the source code from: https://github.com/totu/Swipe2Nav so you can see there is no minified code (I even left the jQuery libraries in non-minified versions for transparency)
