What is syspass?

"syspass" is a Firefox add-on that integrates sysPass auto fill in Firefox using the API. With this add-on, login/password fields are recognized, and a drop-down is displayed with matching accounts from sysPass. When an item is selected from the drop-down, the password is retrieved and filled into the form.

Summary

Will look for login/password fields and add a drop down on focus if matching accounts are found in sysPass. After click on suggested item password will be retrieved and fills out the form.

In sysPass go to User and Accesses -> Api Authorizations and add permissions for

  • "Search for Accounts"
  • "View password"

Both have to have the same password

In Firefox go to the Addons page (cmd+shift+A / about:addons) and edit sysPass Addon settings. Add URL (https required), API token and API password.
