Tap To Tab - A Firefox Add-On for Effortless Tab Management
Add-on stats
Ranking
Add-on summary
Designed specifically for touch-screen tablets and laptops with trackpads (as those devices don't have mouses with two buttons) you can now double-click on any link to open it in a new tab.
This extension works similar to the "open link in new tab" option in the browser's popup menu. But this extension is faster, because performing the right-click action without an external mouse is much slower.
You can configure in the settings window to:
- show the newly opened tab; or open new tab in background
- Put new tab next to current tab; or put at the end of the tab strip
- Add any domain name into a blacklist
Permissions disclosure: This extension needs your browsers permission to "Access your data for all websites" because it needs to listen to websites to detect your double-click action.
Please also try my other related extension, Joystick for tablets.
