Adjusted to Firefox 4. Tigers are considered an Umbrella species, and as such, trigger a top down chain of species die outs and habitat failure with their extinction. Once an Apex predator dies off, former prey populations that were once controlled by predation become rampant in numbers without a food source to sustain them.

'Tigers Matter' is a meaningful Firefox add-on, adjusted to Firefox 4, aimed at raising awareness about the extinction threat faced by tigers and its consequential impacts, notoriously leading to imbalance in the ecosystem. This Apex predator's extinction could lead to overpopulation of certain species due to unchecked predation, eventually leading to food source failure and habitat loss.
