Super simple, minimalist script. The "forward" gesture tends to conflict with the scroll bar but overall still pretty useful.

That is the first solution I came across that works for me. (Ubuntu on a Thinkpad Yoga). Having to click a small button when in tablet mode is quite annoying - I hoped for a swipable solution to go back and forth this for a while! :)
