When you click the button, the extension takes information from the title of the video and then searches for it on Spotify. So, when a friend sends you a song they like, you can search and listen to it on Spotify without having to open the application and type. Perfect for enthusiastic listeners!

Works with Youtube, Soundcloud, Bandcamp. Also, you can just select the text and search using the right-click menu.

I downloaded this extension so I could search songs using the right-click within Firefox, but it doesn't get results if you select and search for more than one term. Hope it gets fixed soon so I can change my rating. Thanks!

Cool extension. I just would like the spotify search icon to either have a discrete option or a was a bit smaller. It tends to cover parts of YouTube video pages. Even after resizing the page.

This extension is broken for YouTube compared to the development version at https://github.com/OdysseasKr/UltimateSpotifySearch Users should download and manually add the extension from source to get it working on YouTube again. Some details: This commit https://github.com/OdysseasKr/UltimateSpotifySearch/commit/57ef3e7e2a30af04676f26c7e14aa8b473ede8e2 updates the search URL. Otherwise, this extension works as advertised :)
