It works as of 2024. I'm yet to find another extension that actually does help. Even provides volume controls.
However, keeps muting and background playing videos when switching tabs. You need to pause the video to start it up. Prevents Instagram Tags from working. Scrubbing mutes the video. If these are deal breakers for you, don't install.
