What is WebWormhole?
WebWormhole is a Firefox add-on that creates temporary connections between computers using WebRTC. It allows you to send files and data easily by generating a one-time code and dragging and dropping files into the wormhole.

Add-on summary

WebWormhole creates ephemeral pipes between computers to send files or other data.

  1. Generate a one-time code on one end.
  2. Enter the same code on a another machine.
  3. Drag and drop files from either side to send them down the wormhole.

The connection is established using WebRTC. The code is used to secure and authenticate it.

This extension lets you install a local copy of the web client that is on https://webwormhole.io. It is otherwise identical. It can be used to send and receive from the web and command line clients.

Gives you a toolbar button that opens the website in a popup window. Useful for people who accidentally close tabs mid-file transfer.
