Analyze keywords

There is always a delay when streaming audio from your device to a receiver (Apple TV, AirPlay speakers, Sonos, Network Player, TuneBlade, Bluetooth, etc.). This is not a big issue when streaming music but any video will become out of sync. This addon attempts to solve this issue for YouTube.

One time set up:

  • Play a YouTube video
  • Go to the addon's Options
  • Adjust the latency slider until the audio becomes in sync with the video
  • You can disable the sync adjustment by clicking on the addon icon.

YouTube Audio/Video Sync works by muting the original video and reloading the audio adjusted to the selected delay.

Note: -YouTube Live Videos are not supported. -This extension (at least for now) will only work on youtube.com, embedded YouTube players on other websites will not work.

This addon is very schizophrenic, sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't. If it could be fixed, this addon would be a godsend.

It works . . . after a fashion. Skipping ahead or back using the cursor keys mutes audio and also severely disrupts the audio sync, so I only was able to use it for a few minutes before uninstalling, as I tend to jog back and forth a lot.
