Add-on summary

This will help you stay focused.

A lot of us need YouTube to learn, research, follow tutorials, and more. But it's SOOO easy to get distracted. So I built a free tool to help you out and that's very simple to use.

Features:

  • Blur Thumbnails: Automatically blur all video thumbnails on YouTube to prevent visual distractions.
  • Blur Titles: Blur video titles to maintain focus on your tasks.
  • Toggle On/Off: Quickly enable or disable the blur effect with a single click from the extension popup.
  • Simple and Lightweight: The extension is easy to use and won't slow down your browsing experience.

How It Works:

  • Install the YouTube Blur extension.
  • Click on the extension icon to access the popup.

User reviews

I really appreciate this add-on because it helps me stay focused by blurring YouTube videos. It's been very effective in reducing distractions. However, I noticed that I can still hover my mouse over the video titles to read them, which can be a bit distracting. It would be great if this could be addressed in a future update. Thank you for this helpful tool!

this add on is brilliant and does exactly what it says - the only thing i think is missing is the option to filter content you want blurred. say you dont want to be spoiled for a game or film that just released, or you hate all reaction videos or just one specific youtuber. or being able to whitelist and let educational channels through for example. just a thought!
