| 2024-05-28 | Drago | | Conclusion: Incredible good work (5 stars) but dev shows its own banner with begging for review (-2 stars) and the settings menu is unfinished yet (-0,4 stars). Super awesome detection. One of the very few that actually held their promises: It blocks static ads, ad clips before video and some overlays (cannot say for popups since my browser would open them in a new tab instead always). AdBlock Secure is effective but aware too: Unlike aggressive addons like "AdGuard", "Consent-O-Matic", "Cookie-Banner-Blocker", "Poper Blocker for Firefox" or "PopUpOff" this one does not seem to produce any conflict with other websites. So its more like uBlock Origin in its default settings but its detection is not the same at all. It even blocks some Anti-Ad-Blocker banners, which has to be honored, especially since almost no other addon developer works on that in the last years. [I can only recommend everybody to combine "uBlock Origin" and "AdBlock Secure", along a good cookie consent bypasser like "I still don't care about cookies"]. -2 stars for promoting youself in a banner to make people liking your addon - it rarely happens but its annyoing. This isn't a behaviour we'd ever like to see in an explicit banner blocker addon! Simply a NO-GO. Plus, in main settings it cant be turned off. Though your product is noticable, please completely remove begging for review in own banners in your next version updates!!! Oh, and a yet unfinished main feature: The addons settings are not available within Firefox addon button - it only says "test" there. So everyone has to call the menu from the new puzzle addon button in menu bar. Please try to fix that. I'd be glad to change my review into 5 stars as soon the two points become fixed. You can answer me here once you did and I'll adjust my rating. |
