Audio Compressor is a Firefox extension designed to make sound volumes more consistent across web pages. This dynamic range compression tool offers presets, customization options and site-specific settings for improved audio control. While there are some limitations due to cross-browser security, it effectively uses the Web Audio API for audio context modulation.

Audio Compressor is an addon that uses dynamic range compression to make sound volumes more even.
There are presets for different levels of compression. You can customize the default settings or the settings for a specific site or page.
There are some sites it doesn't work with, cross-origin browser security blocks scripts from modifying audio/video from a different host. As far as I know there's no way around this.

Perfect, when listening to movies online this app lowers the volume of spikes, that is, weapon, loud music, explosions, etc., while keeping the dialogues at the same level. And also it has a functionality to boost sound, which makes it even better for audios with very loud sound.
Enabling this extension completely disables sound in some websites (like factorio.com). The sound only works when I open the video in a new tab. I have tried the 'none' preset too, but the sound only works when I disable the extension (either using the checkbox or using firefox). EDIT: Github issues shows that this is a Firefox problem, not an extension one. This problem can easily be fixed by disabling it for troublesome sites.
