Summary
Play or Pause any inactive YouTube video tab from any active tab, while viewing other pages online. If you would like to control YouTube videos while browsing the web in another tab, you need this extension. It's common these days to listen to music, presentations or Podcasts on YouTube while browsing the web and not necessarily watch the video. Sometimes, you may leave your desk, need to concentrate or chat with a colleague, and changing to the correct YouTube tab in order to pause the video may be troublesome or embarrassing. This plugin solves that problem, by allowing you to pause and play again from any tab. In addition, there is a button to jump back (rewind) the video by 15 seconds if you lost concentration for example. Additionally you can jump to the next or previous video in the current playlist. Features (from popup): * Play / Pause YouTube videos from any tab * Jump to Next / Previous video * Jump to beginning of video * Skip forward / backward 15 seconds * Close or Jump to YouTube tabs from the extension popup Suggestions and bug-reports are very welcome
Safety
Risk impact
MTController for YouTube requires a number of risky permissions that can potentially harm your browser and steal your data. Exercise caution when installing this add-on. Review carefully before installing. We recommend that you only install MTController for YouTube if you trust the publisher.
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypass your security settings, and access your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
Risk likelihood
MTController for YouTube has earned a fairly good reputation and likely can be trusted.
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Browser Add-ons, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on, especially ones with higher risk impact and/or higher risk likelihood.
