2023-09-26 SpiroExDeus I don't know what this is like on Android or IOS but it's totally useless on Firefox for Linux. I got it because my Raspberry Pi Linux PC is extremely low powered and struggles to load webpages. I expected it would use a code-based solution to simply block all images from the website. Instead it attempts to use a website. I say "attempts" because (on my computer at least) it just ends up continuously reloading a page which it tells me is 'checking the website for privacy'. So instead of waiting endlessly for pictures to load I'm waiting endlessly for the whole website to load. It shoudl also be noted that there is no right-click option on URLS so, even if this DID work, you'd have to load the page that potentially slows down or crashes the machine BEFORE utilising the plugin. Poorly designed and doesn't work.
2023-07-07 Firefox user 15713924 This add-on works great to make annoying websites behave better most of the time. If you just want to read an article without having to scroll past pictures or ads as well as bypassing paywalls on some news sites. It uses the textise.net service so if you want to change settings you need to go there and click options. You can change the text and background color this way.

2022-12-07 Firefox user 17686281 This works very well and does what I need it to do. My only (small) critique is that I would like Textised pages to be the default as opposed to having to click the TI button in the corner. The ability to simply open the browser and have text-only immediately on all pages would be delightful. Thank you for your efforts!

2020-04-16 Bence Szalai Beware that it uses an external service for the text mode, so eventually it redirects your browser to an address which starts with https://www.textise.net/showText.aspx?strURL= and continues with your actual URL, therefore it is letting a 3rd party know the address you have visited. It's not a functional problem, I haven't tested the plugin's functionality for more than a few clicks, so I cannot say much about that. I was looking for a plugin that changes Firefox's behavior to text based rather than redirecting me to an external service. It may be okay for some use-cases and/or users, I've been just looking for something else.
2019-10-26 mytho works great. Context Menu item when right-clicking links should be moved lower than 1st position though.
